Kathy Thaden's award-winning modern mosaics have been exhibited across the U.S. Her mosaics range from abstracts and sculptures to liturgical and commissioned works. Inspired by Creation, Kathy links her art to her faith, seeking to engage the viewer in the visual narrative. Kathy also teaches mosaic workshops and leads mosaic retreats across Colorado and the Southwest.

Before the transition to mosaic art, she was an Emmy Award-winning TV art director and graphic designer. She then discovered the ancient and tactile creative medium of mosaics for her contemporary visual expression. A full-time studio artist, Kathy is a professional member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, Episcopal Church & Visual Arts, and founding member and Past-President of Colorado Mosaic Artists.
